Joining the Community
JungleGuys is not an experience to consume. It is a place to build, maintain, and care for — with others — over time.
Who this is for
JungleGuys is open to everyone. We are especially committed to welcoming LGBTQ people and to making this a safe, inclusive space.
- You want a long-term life project, not a short season.
- You accept physical work and practical learning as normal.
- You can live with imperfect conditions while improving them patiently.
- You value calm communication, reliability, and shared responsibility.
Who this is not for
- You expect comfort, speed, or a turnkey setup.
- You want to “escape” life without facing yourself and others.
- You avoid conflict by disappearing, or create it by dominating.
- You are looking for followers, staff, or a personal stage.
What we ask
- Respect for the land and local context.
- Participation in shared work (maintenance, food, building).
- A mature approach to conflict, privacy, and consent.
- Sobriety: energy, waste, resources, and expectations.
The process
- First conversation — message + short call.
- Written application — skills, motivations, limits, needs.
- Trial stay — short, structured, evaluated both ways.
- Longer stay — deeper integration and responsibilities.
- Membership decision — collective, explicit, documented.
